Trinity Home Inspections LLC is seeking a dependable, motivated, and professional individual to join our growing team as a Licensed Home Inspector.

​

This position will primarily serve Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and surrounding communities. Applicants should live in the Pensacola or Pensacola Beach area and be prepared to occasionally travel to other service areas, including Baldwin County, Alabama.

​

Although current home inspector licensing is preferred, we are willing to consider an exceptional unlicensed candidate who demonstrates strong communication skills, technical aptitude, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to successfully complete Florida and Alabama licensing requirements.

​

This is initially a part-time position with the potential to grow into a full-time role as inspection volume increases.

​

Paid field training ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience, current licensing, progress, and demonstrated competency. Once the required training process has been successfully completed and the inspector is approved to work independently, compensation increases to $30.00 per hour.

​

The position includes paid drive time, mileage reimbursement at $0.72 per mile in accordance with company policy, and additional compensation for qualifying crawlspace inspections and sewer-scope services. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses and annual performance-based pay increases.

​

Report writing, required client consultations, travel, and other approved inspection-related work are paid at the employee’s applicable hourly rate.

Work Schedule

The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required based on inspection demand. Sunday work is rare but may occasionally be necessary.

​

Inspectors will have some flexibility in managing their schedules and availability. However, inspection times and weekly hours will vary based on client demand, property availability, travel requirements, seasonal volume, and business needs.

​

The employee must be dependable, communicate availability clearly, and honor accepted inspection assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed residential home inspections in accordance with applicable Standards of Practice, licensing requirements, and Trinity Home Inspections procedures

  • Take clear, properly framed photographs and videos documenting property conditions

  • Identify and accurately document visible defects, safety concerns, maintenance conditions, and inspection limitations

  • Prepare professional, accurate, and easy-to-understand inspection reports

  • Complete inspection reports on-site before leaving the property unless otherwise authorized

  • Use professional written language when describing observed property conditions

  • Communicate appropriately with clients, homeowners, real estate agents, property managers, and other involved parties

  • Provide clients with an overview of significant inspection findings when requested

  • Answer client questions while remaining within the scope of a home inspection

  • Operate an Apple iPad, Spectora inspection software, digital measuring devices, cameras, and other inspection technology

  • Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, ladders, electronics, safety equipment, and inspection materials

  • Operate company-provided drone equipment after obtaining an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and receiving company authorization

  • Follow all company safety, customer-service, reporting, privacy, and quality-control procedures

  • Represent Trinity Home Inspections professionally at inspections, during travel, and in communications with clients and industry professionals

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer and technology skills

  • Ability to proficiently operate an Apple iPad

  • Ability to learn and effectively use Spectora inspection software

  • Strong photography skills and the ability to capture clear, useful inspection photographs

  • Strong written communication and report-writing abilities

  • Ability to clearly articulate inspection observations in writing

  • Exceptional verbal communication and customer-service skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients, real estate agents, homeowners, contractors, and other parties

  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills

  • Ability to consistently follow inspection checklists, written procedures, and company standards

  • Self-driven, dependable, organized, and task-oriented

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Ability to complete inspection reports accurately and within required deadlines

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Acceptable driving record and ability to remain insurable under company requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Ability to successfully complete a job-related criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening

  • Dependable and properly insured personal vehicle capable of transporting ladders and inspection equipment

  • Willingness to have Trinity-approved company lettering installed on the personal vehicle

  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain both Florida and Alabama home inspector licenses

  • Willingness to obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate 

  • Ability to work outdoors and in hot, humid, dusty, dirty, damp, and confined environments

Licensing Requirements

Applicants who currently hold Florida and Alabama home inspector licenses are preferred. Applicants who are not currently licensed may still be considered, but they must be capable of completing all required education, testing, applications, background requirements, and licensing procedures.

​

The employee is responsible for the cost of initial licensing, pre-licensing education, initial examinations, and other training required to first obtain a Florida or Alabama home inspector license.

​

After the employee becomes properly licensed, Trinity Home Inspections will provide or pay for approved continuing education, annual license renewals, and applicable ongoing licensing expenses in accordance with company policy.

​

An existing FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is preferred but is not required at the time of application. Selected employees may be required to obtain the certificate after hire before conducting drone operations.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The employee must be able to safely carry, position, and climb ladders; transport inspection tools and equipment; access and walk suitable roof surfaces; enter and travel through crawlspaces for distances that may exceed 100 feet; and navigate attics with limited or no established flooring. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, and working in confined spaces.

Inspections are performed indoors and outdoors throughout the year. The employee must be able to work in Gulf Coast heat, humidity, direct sunlight, attics, crawlspaces, garages, mechanical rooms, utility areas, and other environments that may be hot, dusty, dirty, damp, or uncomfortable. Reasonable exposure to insulation, vegetation, insects, moisture, construction materials, and other common property conditions should be expected.

All roof, attic, crawlspace, and confined-space access is subject to safety conditions and company procedures. Inspectors are expected to recognize unsafe, inaccessible, or hazardous conditions and use approved alternative inspection methods when direct access is not appropriate.

Vehicle Requirements

The employee must maintain a dependable, insured, and professional-looking personal vehicle suitable for transporting inspection equipment and displaying company identification.

Trinity Home Inspections will select, approve, and pay for the initial installation of company lettering. The employee is responsible for maintaining the vehicle’s professional appearance and for the cost of removing the lettering when employment ends or when removal is otherwise required.

Company-Provided Equipment and Support

Trinity Home Inspections provides the primary equipment and technology needed to perform assigned inspection services, including an Apple iPad, inspection software, ladders, inspection tools, moisture meters, thermal imaging equipment, drone equipment, sewer-scope equipment, safety equipment, approved uniforms, and branded materials.

The company also provides inspection procedures, checklists, administrative support, scheduling, marketing, lead generation, client agreements, payment collection, field training, and quality-control reviews. Approved equipment allowances may be available for qualifying employee-owned items. Trinity also provides approved continuing education, annual licensing renewals, company outings, and team lunches.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Florida home inspector license

  • Active Alabama home inspector license

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate

  • Previous residential home inspection experience

  • Experience using Spectora

  • InterNACHI or ASHI education or certification

  • Residential construction, roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, or skilled-trade experience

  • Strong knowledge of Gulf Coast homes and construction practices

  • Experience with sewer scopes, crawlspace inspections, drones, thermal imaging, moisture meters, pools, or indoor air-quality testing

  • Experience working with homebuyers, homeowners, or real estate professionals

  • Strong familiarity with Apple products, mobile applications, and digital reporting systems
